Margaret Poole

Margaret Poole was born in Brooklyn on October 14, 1912, the thirteenth child of William Poole and Mary Head. She took vows as a Sister of St. Joseph, on August 6, 1932, in Brentwood, Long Island, taking the religious name Sister Margaret Maureen. Her two sisters, Catherine (Sister Rosarita) and Theresa (Sister St. Raphael), had previously joined the order.

Margaret worked as an elementary school teacher throughout her career.

She died on May 23, 2002 in and is buried in Brentwood beside her two sisters, who had died four years earlier.
