John Aloysius Poole

John Aloysius Poole was born in Brooklyn New York on November 27, 1899, the third child of William M Poole and Mary E Head.

On April 2, 1927 he was ordained as a Catholic priest. He was assigned to Holy Child Jesus church in Richmond Hill, New York, the home parish of his family, eventually becoming an assistant pastor there. He subsequently served in St. Albans, Queens and Riverhead, Suffolk County. In 1950, he was appointed as Associate Director of Diocesan Camps for the Brooklyn Diocese.

He died in Smithtown, New York on December 16, 1952, a few months after celebrating his Silver Jubillee as a priest.
