Assignment 1 - January 13

For your first assignment, you will be demonstrating that you have the basic computer skills needed to succeed in the class. You are to compose and send an email to the instructor using your Shoreline account. Send it to cpoole@ctc.edu. If you do not have your Shoreline account, you are required to get it for the class. Go to http://zoot.shore.ctc.edu/info to sign up.

The note you send me should contain the following information:

1. Who you are and what class you are in. If you are not yet officially registered, tell me what your status is.
2. What kind of computer and windows background you have. Do you feel you are prepared for this class? Are there some areas you will be brushing up on? Are there some areas you would like me to spend time on in class?
3. What would you like to gain from this class? How does it fit in with your career plans? Do you have any suggestions or requests for what should be covered?

If you are not yet a student at Shoreline you may use a different email address to send this to me. If you have no mail at all, you can turn in a printed copy but you should get a Shoreline email account as soon as you have a student number. If you don't trust email yet, you can turn in a printed copy with a note to me that you also sent it by email.
